The Stroud Library was originally organized by the Stroud Women's Institute in 1912. It began with a collection of approximately one hundred books which were housed in the local general store. The Stroud Branch has a collection of over 20,000 books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and audiobooks. In addition to the regular collection, Stroud also houses the Local History collection. This collection includes various microform products such as local census reels and newspapers (The Scope) and is augmented by a microfilm reader-printer. Six computers with Internet access and the Microsoft Office Suite and two early literacy stations are available for public use. |
