Stroud Beavers invade the Library
1st Stroud Beavers at the Lakeshore Branch

The 1st Stroud Beavers enjoyed an evening of fun and discovery. A tour of the space by Miss Melissa built excitement and eagerness to get into the Hack Lab. Groups were divided and as one group decorated unique bookmarks, the other group met with Ms. Rachel and made custom 1st Stroud Beaver keychains. Not wanting to leave, some of the Beavers stopped at our Retro Gaming Centre and played an outdoor adventure game.

Who you goin' call when your sewing machine breaks? Innisfil Public Library & ideaLAB, of course! Diane was able to use the library's sewing machine to make Christmas presents for family and friends. They're all ready to go; they just need to be wrapped. Someone's going to have a wonderful Christmas gift! Ho, Ho, Ho.

I read the book, Charlotte's Web and decided to do a scene of my favourite part of the book. I did my scene when Lurvy saw Charlotte's web and looked at Wilbur and he was surprised. I made it with a cardboard box, paint, paper and 3D printing (at the Cookstown Branch) for the characters.

Cheryl's Big Idea
Painted baby onsies

Needing a gift for a friend who is expecting, Cheryl had an idea and headed to the ideaLAB's vinyl cutter. Patterns were made and laid onto a baby onesie. Fabric paint was used and was dabbed over the vinyl cut template with a sponge brush. The vinyl was peeled off after paint was dry and ta-dah, a home-made personalized baby gift!
