Portable ebook readers are available to borrow from all branches of the library.  We offer Sony Readers and Kobos.  Take one home today!

 

Frequently asked questions:

How long may I have a reader?
The loan period is for three weeks.  There are no renewals on readers.

What do you have on the readers?
There are 17 titles on each Sony Reader and 22 titles on each Kobo reader. You will not be able to add new titles to the readers.  We've chosen a mix of titles, and we hope you'll find one that you enjoy.  Each reader comes in a plastic bag with an instruction sheet and a power cord that you can plug into your computer's USB port to charge the reader's battery when not in use.

May I place a hold on a reader?
Yes - you can place a hold on any reader.

Who is responsible for theft, damage or loss of a reader?
The person who signs out the reader is responsible for any damage.  Parents should be aware that replacement costs for a reader is $350.  Parents are responsible for any damage/lost incurred by their children.  Please inform staff if you wish to restrict use of such materials by your child.

What is the overdue fine for a reader?
$5 per day, no renewals.
