LIBRARY CIRCULATION ASSISTANT
PART-TIME - 20 hours per week - 3 month contract
Innisfil Public Library, Innisfil Ontario
Duties:
Performs front-line customer services including checking books in and out, placing holds, registering new customers, collecting fines, providing basic reader’s advisory and reference information, accepting interlibrary-loan requests, answering and/or referring telephone requests, instructing customers on the use of library equipment/materials and providing roving (roaming), point-of-use personalized customer service. Job Description
Qualifications:
Library Technician Diploma, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 6 months to 1 year public library experience.
Significant pro-active customer service skills.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, at all branches of the library system.
Familiarity with automated library systems, Internet & online databases; strong computer, and electronic information resource skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Current driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
Police records check.
